The quest for a worldwide improvement of the quality of life in harmony with nature’s capacities and future generation’s capabilities is a major challenge for the 21st century. By developing the technology of tomorrow, engineers can play a key role in reaching this ambition. In this vision, the research line on ‘Sustainable Processes and Energy’ is active in analyzing and enhancing the sustainability of products, processes and systems. It relies on the Group T’s research expertise in the field of energy efficient manufacturing processes, cleaner production, eco-design, Life Cycle Assessment and rational energy use.
