Group T professor beats 'em all

10.000 questions answered on online Q&A

How do astronauts pee in outer space? Why does ice melt if you sprinkle salt over it? Why do we not just fall from the surface of the earth? You find the answer to these and 9997 other questions via www.ikhebeenvraag.be (Dutch-language site). October 20, 2011 the 10,000th question was answered by one of the 600 scientists collaborating on the project. Leuven Engineering College's professor Paul Hellings beat them all by answering over 700 of the questions.

The Group T-expert

Prof. Dr. Paul Hellings is an expert on Physics, Mathematics, Astronomy, and space research. About the government-sponsored website, he says: “Online, people often get lost amongst the myriad of websites or they are unable to assess how trustworthy the information is. The I Have a Question-website solves this by having only certified experts answer the questions."

Science Popularization

The online Q&A wants to inform the general public in an objective way on scientific topics, wants to bring scientists and the public closer together, and stimulate an interest in science amongst youngsters. Three goals Group T equally backs.
