Admission conditions
To be able to begin a bachelor program, you need to adhere to a few general admission conditions.

For a detailed list of all the documents you need to hand in, go to Application Procedure.

You have to hold one of the following degrees

  • You hold a Belgian degree of secondary education.
  • You hold a degree of secondary education conferred by an institution in a country that is a member of the Council of Europe. This diploma should allow admission to a program in science/engineering in that country.
  • You hold a degree of secondary education conferred by an institution in a country that is not a member of the Council of Europe. This diploma should allow admission to higher education in that country. In this case, you must hand in SAT scores not older than two years to prove that you are sufficiently proficient in mathematics. More info on sitting an SAT via sat.collegeboard.org.

You need to be proficient in English

You need to prove to us that you reach our Language Requirements for entry. However, this does not apply if you graduated from a secondary school or institute of higher education located in Australia, Canada (except Quebec), the Caribbean, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, the USA where English was the language of instruction or if you graduated from a secondary school or institute of higher education located in Flanders or the Netherlands.

Chinese applicants need an APS-certificate

If you are a Chinese appplicant are residing in the P.R. of China and you do not hold a diploma that was obtained outside of your country, you have to obtain a so-called APS-certificate.
